The majority of the town's people still wear typical Mayan clothing. Mayan women typically sit on one side of the plaza where they display and sell their handicrafts, which include hand-embroidered dresses and blouses, placemats and table cloths. and Chichén Itzá, with its imposing Mayan vestiges, famous for the mathematical precision with which they were built. and now considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
